Yamaha RGX A2 Electronics Modification

This is an RGX A2, a very cool concept guitar from Yamaha. It is light, elegant and looks and plays great. However, the original pickup selector switch is actually a rotary knob where the tone knob would usually be. It is recessed into the top making it hard to grab and it's fairly stiff, making it pretty much unusable in real time. It also has 3 differently colored LEDs to indicate which pickups are selected. Kind of cool, but in our humble opinion too gimicky for an otherwise very classy guitar.

So I pulled it all out and put a 3-way toggle in its place. Much better, and now you can put your picks in the battery compartment.
